Natural vs Synthetic Make Up Brushes
There are basically two kinds of make up brushes. They are
the natural ones and the synthetic ones. The natural ones are usually made up
of animal hair such as squirrel, goat, pony, sable, pahmi, badger and mongoose.
Some types though use a combination of different animal hairs. This type of
make up brushes is definitely more expensive than the synthetic ones, but you
will be guaranteed that they will result to a flawless even finish. Both make
up artists and make up enthusiasts prefer natural brushes as the application of
cosmetics are easier and the end result is always top grade.
Natural brushes are best used with powder make up such as eye shadows, face powder and blush but not so much with cream type make up. Synthetic brushes are made up of either Taklon (a synthetic fiber that claims to be superior to animal hair) or Nylon. Synthetic make up brushes should feel like real hair. But compared to the natural ones, make up will tend to cake more while using this. Overtime though, this type of brush will harden, unlike the natural kind. Less expensive, this is best for make up application that are cream based such as concealer, lipstick and cream foundation.
